Canton Cabaret Dinner Theatre Brings the USO back home!

Canton, OH- Jaime Stabile, artistic director of the Canton Cabaret Dinner Theatre, is proud to announce a Canton Cabaret original musical performance, USO SHOW, on MAY 18, 2012. Stabile, along with the Cabaret musical director, Steve Dallas, have put together a show featuring the entertainers and music brought to our military through the years. Joining them in the festivities are Courtney Vignos Rininger and Mark Adkins, well known area entertainers.

The show will be held at Tozzi’s on 12th at 4210 12th Street in Canton. Dinner begins at 6 p.m., followed by the musical performance at 8 p.m. Dinner and show tickets are $45 and include tax and gratuity. Dinner choices include steak, chicken or scrod. A limited amount of show- only tickets are available for $25. A 10% discount is available when reserving a table of 8 or more! Reservations can be made by calling Tozzi’s at 330-477-7515.

 “Steve Dallas is by far one of the most talented men that I know in Canton, Ohio.  His vast knowledge and his ability to play anything will only prove to be an asset to Canton Cabaret Dinner Theatre,” Stabile said.  “Having worked around Canton for many years, the amount of performers that Steve knows will only grow our talent pool and make our shows that much more unique and special,” he stated.
 
Regarding Stabile and the Canton Cabaret, Dallas remarked, “I am looking forward to working with Jaime, who I find extremely creative.  As my first long-term commitment to an organization dedicated to putting on shows, I am both thrilled and honored to have been asked to take this role.   Having worked predominately in churches, showing what I can do outside of the church is an opportunity that entices and excites me. Working with Canton Cabaret will only lead to a much wider circle of friends and coworkers in Canton and surrounding areas.”
 
The first Canton Cabaret performance with Dallas officially at the musical helm is ‘Majic 607.0,’ taking place on April 21, which will feature music of the Supremes, Abba, Cher, the Beach Boys, and more! ‘Timeless Music’ featured Sarah Karem and Jaime Stabile, along with Steve Dallas and his band, aptly named Timeless.   The show covered all kinds of music, from swing to jazz, from country to rock ‘n’ roll.  

It was an “Unforgettable” night of dancing, music and fun at the Canton Cabaret Dinner theatre.

Stabile will be writing and directing the Cabaret musicals, as well as singing in many of them. The Cabaret’s former artistic director, Lois DiGiacomo-Jacobson, will become the Cabaret’s full-time promotional director. Her tasks will include increasing tour bus scheduling at the Cabaret’s home base, Tozzi’s on 12th, and scheduling performances throughout the area.

“When the opportunity to come and work with Canton Cabaret as the artistic director was brought to me, I instantly said yes!” Stabile stated. “Lois DiGiacomo-Jacobson has done a lot to get Canton Cabaret Dinner Theatre’s name out there. Now, as is with every organization, each Artistic Director brings his/her own ideas. I am thrilled to be adding mine to the already great things happening at Canton Cabaret Dinner Theatre,” he said. “Expect great things to come from us!” Stabile exclaimed.

Proceeds from the Canton Cabaret Dinner Theatre, which was established in 2007 through funding from an ArtsinStark grant, benefits their parent company, the Rainbow Repertory Company that provides arts programs for local schools.

 From love at first sight to second chances, the music celebrates the seasons of romance and  true love overcoming all, a perfect Valentine Day celebration! 

THE BOOK OF LOVE has a character with whom everyone can fall in love.  It is written by pianist Steve Dallas, Vinnie Monteleone and a new Cabaret singer, Jaime Stabile.  Jaime is joined by other new singers, Leah Young and Christine Gingerich, who join veterans Tom Baumgardner and Courtney Vignos Rininger.   Steve and Vinnie are providing  live music on piano and guitar, both long time professionals in northeast Ohio.
